As Global Category Manager, you will shape the global strategy for Automation & Electrical Items and drive value through strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships. You’ll operate across procurement, engineering, and legal teams to optimize costs, quality, and innovation at a worldwide scale. The role combines market intelligence, large RFQ leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver sustainable savings and platform-level improvements. This is a high-impact, globally exposed role with a clear emphasis on strategic influence and supplier-driven value.

Responsabilidades
Define and evolve the global category strategy for Automation & Electrical Items
Lead large, strategic RFQs and negotiate regional/global framework agreements
Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions at global/regional levels
Manage strategic supplier relationships focusing on cost, quality, availability, and innovation
Consolidate and optimize general/regional supplier base




Assess and manage total cost of ownership (TCO) across the category
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cross-functional savings projects
Coordinate with divisions, business units, and legal entities worldwide
Plan workshops with suppliers and internal experts to unlock value and innovation
Monitor and steer category spend toward preferred suppliers
Requisitos principales
5+ years of experience in procurement/category management
Proven contract management experience
Strong technical and market knowledge of Automation and Electrical Panels
Experience in global, matrix, and centralized procurement
Solid xqbhyrx background in global negotiations and supplier management
Strong project management and change implementation skills
High cultural awareness and international work experience
Fluent in English; German and/or Spanish a plus
Bachelor in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering or similar
Project Management qualification is a strong plus
Strong stakeholder management and networking

Market intelligence and category strategy
