Overview
In this role you will advance Elasticsearch at scale, focusing on distributed indexing, cluster coordination, and data safety across nodes. You'll work with cross-functional teams to push scalability, performance, and resilience, shaping how data is indexed and accessed in large clusters. You will troubleshoot complex distributed system challenges and guide multi-engineer projects from design to delivery. Responsabilidades Improve components for concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines
Maintain and optimize the cluster coordination system to preserve performance and liveness as nodes join/leave and data moves
Push the limits on shards, nodes, and petabyte-scale data handling
Investigate performance and concurrency issues and propose solutions
Support engineers with difficult problems
Requisitos principales Strong background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms
Strong core Java skills and familiarity with data structures, concurrency constructs, and modern language features
Deep technical proficiency in algorithms
Proven ability to work on complex, highly distributed systems
Experience owning projects from start to finish including technical design and cross-team collaboration
Experience managing projects with multiple engineers
