Overview In this role you will own end-to-end supplier quality for composite materials, ensuring robust manufacturing, material integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across a integral supplier base. You will lead supplier qualification, process validation, and technical quality decisions, serving as the technical authority between suppliers and internal teams such as engineering, manufacturing, NDT, and program quality. You will drive process capability, risk mitigation, and supplier maturity beyond inspection, focusing on CPPs, KC, and AS9102-compliant FAIs. This position offers impact on aerospace-grade structures, enabling reliable supply chains and quality outcomes.
Responsabilidades
Own supplier quality across development, qualification, and serial production
Qualify and certify new composite suppliers via capability assessments, readiness reviews, and audits
Conduct system, process, and special process audits (composite layup, curing, machining, bonding)
Drive supplier performance with scorecards, KPIs, and improvement roadmaps




Define and monitor Critical Process Parameters (CPPs), Key Characteristics (KCs), and process windows
Lead First Article Inspections (FAI) and process validation per aerospace standards (AS9102)
Identify and mitigate supplier risks using PFMEA and structured process risk assessments
Review material certifications, Certificates of Conformance, and control plans; ensure regulatory compliance
Provide technical oversight of NDT activities (UT, C-scan, RT, thermography) and review results
Lead technical quality investigations into composite defects with root cause analysis and CAPA
Act as technical quality authority for composite suppliers; advise on capabilities and material choices
Maintain expert knowledge of prepreg layup, resin infusion/RTM, autoclave and OA curing
