Overview As a Hardware Engineer in the CU Devices team at Verisure, you design and evolve the electronics for our secure, connected smart-home alarm systems. You translate requirements into robust schematics and PCB layouts, balancing performance with cost and manufacturability. You work with software, QA, procurement, and EMS partners to bring new products to market and continuously improve production testing. You'll operate across the full product lifecycle, from concept to certification, in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.
Responsabilidades Gather and break down hardware requirements
Design and document schematics and PCB layouts
Select components and manage BOMs, second source availability
Support manufacturing, production testing, and factory tooling
Prototype testing, validation, debugging, and design iteration
Collaborate with SW, QA, procurement, vendors, and EMS
Coordinate design-for-cost and design-for-manufacturability reviews
Support certification processes and regulatory requirements
Monitor and report R&D; activities related to hardware development
Requisitos principales 6+ years experience designing electronics (schematics and PCB layouts)
Experience with multilayer and high-speed designs (DDR, USB, Ethernet, PCIe)
Experience with processors or fast MCUs and external memories
Prototype testing, validation, debugging
Design for manufacturing/industrialization for mass production
Full cycle product development from concept to adoption
Experience with certification processes per standards/regulations
Understanding of digital and radio communications; RF knowledge is a plus
Spoken English professional; Spanish strongly recommended but not mandatory
Strong problem-solving ability
