Overview
In this Principal Software Engineer role, you will join the Platform Engineering Productivity team to raise the quality and efficiency of Elastics software delivery at scale. You'll build frameworks, reusable components, and guidelines to own the full software lifecycle for services across the organization. You'll improve CI, artifact creation, and release practices while enabling teams to ship faster. You will mentor, document, and drive cross-team technical excellence with a focus on impact.

Responsabilidades Improve CI infrastructure reliability and efficiency
Build and manage systems that produce releasable artifacts
Enable ephemeral developer environments
Define and enforce release quality gates
Develop tooling and infrastructure for product deployment and release
Review code to uphold engineering standards and catch defects




Collaborate with engineering and product on requirements and testing strategy
Drive clear technical communication across teams and projects
Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation
Mentor engineers and promote code quality and best practices
Requisitos principales Full software development lifecycle understanding (build, package, test, release, quality)
Proficiency in one or more languages (Python, Go, Bash, Java, Scala)
Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern release practices
Cloud infrastructure experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud providers
Designing scalable systems and improving developer productivity via tooling/automation
Ability to navigate multiple projects and evolving team structures
Hands-on AI fluency, including integrating LLM APIs and prompt engineering
Proven track record of improving engineering practices and team efficiency
Excellent written and verbal technical communication
