About Perlentaucher
Founded in 2010, Perlentaucher is a Mallorca-based boutique real estate developer creating distinctive luxury villas and residences in some of the island’s most sought-after locations.
Over the past 15 years, we have developed and delivered more than 50 residential projects, building a strong reputation for quality, distinctive architecture, refined interiors, and meticulous attention to detail. Our work spans the entire development process: from the initial concept and site acquisition through architecture, interior design, construction, delivery, and post-completion home services.
We conceive each home as an individual “pearl”: a carefully designed residence that responds to its surroundings, celebrates Mallorca’s landscape and climate, and combines Mediterranean character with contemporary comfort. While every project has its own identity, all share the same Perlentaucher standards: thoughtful design, high-quality materials, precise execution, and a strong sense of place.
The opportunity
We are looking for an Architect / Interior Designer to join our growing architecture and design team and contribute to the development of unique luxury projects in Mallorca.
This role is suited to someone who understands that exceptional design goes beyond attractive images. It involves creating a coherent experience across architecture, spatial planning, materials, lighting, furniture, detailing, and the way people ultimately live in a home.
The idóneo candidate combines creative sensitivity with technical reliability. You should be able to develop an initial idea into a clear and compelling design proposal, communicate it visually, and work carefully through the details required to make the proposal buildable, functional, and commercially relevant.
Key responsibilities
- Develop architectural and interior design concepts for high-end residential projects.
- Translate the Perlentaucher design language into elegant, contemporary Mediterranean homes.
- Contribute to projects from early concept and design development through to final presentation and implementation.
- Prepare plans, layouts, elevations, material concepts, furniture proposals,
moodboards, and design presentations.
- Produce high-quality 3D visualisations and renderings for internal reviews, client presentations, and marketing purposes.
- Coordinate with architects, technical architects, construction professionals, suppliers, and external consultants.
- Research and select products, suppliers, materials, and design solutions appropriate to each project.
- Review proposals for consistency, quality, functionality, and attention to detail.
- Help ensure that the design vision is maintained as projects progress from concept to construction.
- Organise your workload, communicate progress clearly, and meet agreed deadlines.
- Participate in design meetings, project reviews, and presentations.
- Contribute ideas to improve Perlentaucher’s design processes, visual standards, and project outcomes.
What we are looking for
Essential experience and skills
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in architecture, interior design, or residential development.
- Experience working on Mediterranean, contemporary, or high-end residential projects.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design quality, visual sensitivity, and completed or developed projects.
- Advanced 3D modelling, visualisation, and rendering skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of proportion, composition, materials, colour palettes, lighting, and spatial atmosphere.
- Ability to develop a design concept while understanding practical, technical, and construction constraints.
- Experience in selection of products, suppliers, materials, and design solutions appropriate to each project.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional working proficiency in English, ideally at C1 level.
- Native or professional working proficiency in Spanish.
- Knowledge of AI tools used for architectural visualisation, image generation, research, or creative workflows.
- A proactive, organised, and solution-oriented approach.
Valuable additional experience The following would be advantageous, although not all are essential:
- Experience in luxury residential architecture or interior design.
- Experience working for a developer, architecture studio, interior design practice, or construction company.
- Knowledge of construction processes, technical coordination, and the relationship between design and execution.
- Experience preparing client-facing presentations and moodboards.
- German language skills.
What we offer
- The opportunity to work on distinctive, high-quality residential projects in Mallorca.
- Direct collaboration with an experienced, multidisciplinary team.
- The chance to contribute to projects from the earliest creative stages through to final realisation.
- A role within an established company with more than 15 years of experience and over 50 completed projects.
- A creative, collaborative, and quality-focused working environment.
- The opportunity to have a visible impact on the design of future Perlentaucher homes.
- Professional development and increasing responsibility as your experience grows.
- An office location in Port Adriano, Mallorca.
Why this role may be right for you
This is not a purely production-based position. You will have the opportunity to participate in the thinking behind our projects and help shape how Perlentaucher homes look, feel, and function.
You will join an established company with a strong track record and continued ambitions for growth. This creates room to contribute ideas, improve processes, and help define the design quality and consistency of future projects.
The role may be particularly well suited to someone who enjoys the relationship between architecture, interiors, materials, visualisation, and Mediterranean living—and who wants to see design ideas progress beyond the screen into real, completed homes.
