Overview

As Civil Works Engineer you drive the integrity, reliability and continuous improvement of the plant's civil infrastructures, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance. You work within the Maintenance Department's Civil Works team to support ongoing operations and new projects, coordinating on-site activities with contractors and stakeholders. You will shape maintenance strategies and oversee construction activities, delivering sustainable, on-site solutions.

Responsabilidades Manage the Civil Works Department ensuring compliance with site HSE standards and company policies

Define and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for buildings, roads, drainage, utility networks and civil infrastructure

Oversee structural integrity and maintenance of industrial buildings, warehouses, offices, workshops and auxiliary facilities





Manage civil works for new industrial projects including foundations, structures, roads, earthworks and underground networks

Coordinate and supervise contractors during construction, maintenance and refurbishment activities

Ensure compliance with Spanish building regulations, environmental requirements and industrial safety standards

Requisitos principales Relevant education degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Technical Architecture

8–10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction or industrial environments

Additional training in Project Management, Construction Management or Health & Safety (plus)

Candidates with strong construction management experience and technical education valued

Hands-on leadership with strong on-site presence

Pragmatic decision-making across multiple contractors and priorities

Analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Strong knowledge of structural engineering, foundations, geotechnics and industrial buildings

Strong knowledge of construction management, planning, cost control, contract administration and site supervision

Knowledge of industrial painting systems and corrosion protection
