OneTalent is recruiting an IT Demand Planning Consultant | S&OP; & Process Transformation for the Corporate IT team of a leading international FMCG group with more than 7,000 employees across 30+ countries.

Reporting to the IT Commercial Manager, you will own the Sales Demand Planning process from an IT and functional perspective, supporting reliable sales forecasting across Europe, Africa and the United States.

You will connect Commercial teams, markets and IT, align different business inputs and lead the harmonisation of Demand Planning processes and tools across Business Units.

The Group operates across multiple Business Units with different levels of planning maturity, and a significant part of the role is diagnosing where the real problems sit and bringing everyone onto a common model.

SAP IBP is already live and entering a new phase of evolution, with opportunities to use AI and advanced analytics to improve forecasting and decision-making.

This is a process, transformation and business-partnering role rather than a technical SAP position. SAP IBP experience is valuable, but it is not mandatory.

⚒️ Key responsibilities a) Demand Planning and process transformation

- Own and continuously improve the Sales Demand Planning process across markets and Business Units.
- Understand how statistical forecasts, historical sales, seasonality, promotions and market inputs contribute to the consensus demand plan.




- Align stakeholders around an agreed sales forecast and monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, adoption and data quality.
- Identify process gaps and define scalable, standardised ways of working across countries.

b) IBP evolution, AI and analytics

- Drive the evolution of SAP IBP and contribute to the Group’s broader planning roadmap.
- Translate business priorities into process improvements and technology-enabled solutions.
- Identify practical applications of AI, machine learning, demand sensing and advanced analytics in forecasting.
- Work with Data, Analytics, IT and business teams to implement and assess new forecasting capabilities.

c) Project delivery and business partnering

- Lead regional and integral initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation and hypercare.
- Coordinate Commercial stakeholders, markets, internal IT teams and external partners.
- Manage project scope, priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks and user adoption.
- Facilitate workshops, challenge requirements constructively and translate business needs into scalable solutions.

? Who we are looking for

Essential requirements

- Around 5–10 years of experience in Demand Planning, Sales Forecasting, S&OP; or planning transformation.
- Strong functional understanding of Demand Planning and S&OP; processes.
- Experience implementing, evolving or supporting a Demand Planning process or solution.




- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional or international transformation projects.
- Experience assessing how demand planning operates across different countries or business units, identifying root causes behind recurring issues, and building and delivering a plan to close the gap across both process and tooling.
- Fluent English.

Strongly preferred

- Experience within FMCG, consumer packaged goods or another complex multi-market environment.

Desirable experience

- Background in IT, technology consulting, process ownership or product ownership.
- Experience with SAP IBP for Demand or another enterprise planning tool.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, demand sensing, statistical forecasting or advanced analytics applied to Demand Planning.
- Experience with Power BI or other analytics and visualisation tools.
