EMEA Recruitment is supporting a successful, growing manufacturing business within a complex international organization.
They are looking to appoint a Business Unit Finance Director with significant commercial exposure, who can act as a true business partner and operate with a business leader mindset.
You will work closely with the Business Unit Head and senior commercial and operational stakeholders, helping shape strategy, drive performance, identify growth opportunities and ensure that business decisions translate into sustainable financial results.
This role is located in Barcelona, Spain.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Unit Finance Director:
Take ownership of the financial performance and P&L; of a significant general business line
Partner closely with the Business Unit Head and commercial leadership to drive growth and profitability
Identify, anticipate and manage financial risks and opportunities
Challenge commercial assumptions and support decision-making with clear, actionable insight
Work closely with Sales to evaluate customers, pricing, contracts, opportunities and commercial performance
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement to optimize the manufacturing and supply network and overall cost-to-serve
Support new customer acquisition, product innovation and growth initiatives
Lead and influence cross-functional projects and process improvements from initial concept through to measurable results
Translate complex data and business dynamics into clear recommendations for senior leadership
Act as a key finance representative across a broad international stakeholder network
Drive accountability and execution rather than simply reporting performance
Requirements:
Academic degree in Finance, Economics, or similar discipline
Significant experience in Business Controlling, Commercial Finance, FP&A;, or a similar senior finance role
Proven experience with meaningful P&L; responsibility.
Strong commercial and operational understanding
A track record of influencing business decisions and delivering measurable results
The ability to work effectively in a lean, hands-on organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability
An entrepreneurial, proactive and highly accountable mindset
The ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and detailed analysis
