Overview
In this role you will design and scale Rust-based services that power trading, payments, and crypto experiences within Payward Services. You will work on high-availability, low-latency systems and collaborate with a large Rust engineering team to deliver robust infrastructure that moves money and assets safely at scale. You'll own end-to-end solutions, mentor peers, and help shape our security-focused, product-driven engineering culture. This is an opportunity to impact open financial infrastructure at scale and work across distributed systems.
Responsabilidades Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries for trading, payments, and crypto experiences
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code that scales across teams and supports revenue-critical systems
Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture for low-latency solutions
Work with hundreds of Rust engineers to sustain a high-performance,
product-driven culture
Provide end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries
Mentor other engineers and contribute to defining the technical culture
Requisitos principales 5+ years of software engineering experience
Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust
Security-first mindset in system design
Ability to autonomously debug issues across the stack (OS, network, application)
Solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies (RPC protocols, Kafka, Event-Driven Systems)
Collaborate with product teams to gather requirements
End-to-end ownership of systems and libraries
