Since 2015, papernest has been transforming the way people manage their contracts, making subscription, management, and switching simple through one smart, intuitive platform.We have supported more than 2 million customers across France, Spain, and Italy.Along the way, we have continued to invest in new verticals, establishing papernest as a high-performing, innovative, and competitive scale-up in a fast-growing market.With over 900 employees, we are strengthening our position as a European market leader.In this role you will:Leadership & HR strategy Define and drive the HR strategy and policy for Spain, in line with the Group HR strategy and in close coordination with the HR team based in ParisLead, coach and develop the Spain HR team (7 people based in Barcelona)Be THE go-to HR Business Partner across your entire scope: disciplinary matters, onboarding, offboarding, reorganizations, employee relations and litigationLead the Spanish rollout of the Manager DNA programme (Posture + Practice, the 4 pillars: Model / Do-er / Coach / Driver) and the redesign of the performance review grid (50% OKR / 50% Work Formula & skills)Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, supporting business growth and organizational developmentHR transformation & innovation Be the Spain lead on the HR AI-Transformation project: mapping the employee journey, deploying Claude as a strategic HR ally and Cowork to automate low-value operational tasksDrive the evolution of the HR function from reactive to proactive, leveraging data, technology and new AI toolsIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve HR processes and employee experienceHR administration, payroll & compliance Ensure full legal compliance across payroll, personnel administration and Spanish labor lawOversee Spanish payroll production and manage the relationship with our external payroll providerEnsure the HRIS (Workday) is properly administered and continuously improvedEnsure HR policies and processes are consistently implemented across the Spanish organizationEmployee relations Lead employee relations in Spain and act as the main point of contact for employee representativesPrepare and manage employee representative meetings and ensure constructive social dialogueHR development Build and steer the Spain training and development planPartner with the Talent Acquisition teams to set recruitment up for success and ensure a strong onboarding experienceOversee office management activities for the Barcelona officeWork closely with the France HR team to ensure alignment and share best practices across countriesWhat we’re looking for:Around 10 years of experience in generalist HR roles, with significant experience managing HR teams, ideally within a fast-growing organization (start-up, scale-up...)Proven experience leading an HR function and managing a sizeable team, with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levelsNatural leadership, excellent interpersonal skills and strong people management capabilitiesA sharp analytical mindset: you’re as comfortable shaping HR strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves to solve operational challengesStrong knowledge of Spanish labor law, payroll and employee relationsGenuine curiosity for AI and new HR tools — you’re not afraid to rethink processes and experiment with tools such as Claude or CoworkStrong autonomy, adaptability and a hands‑on mindsetFluent English, with regular exchanges with the France HR team based in ParisExcellent communication skills and the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholdersWhat We Offer You:Evolve in an international and inclusive environment: Everyone has a place at papernest, and with over 46 nationalities, it’s common to start a sentence in French and finish it in English or Spanish!Compensation: a stock options plan (BSPCE) in accordance with company regulations, as well as a Pluxee card to manage your tax brackets through a versátil compensation system covering various services (transport, catering, and childcare).Benefits: as a provider of home insurance and green electricity and gas, we offer attractive deals to our employees.
