As Project Engineer at Symrise, you will lead and coordinate engineering projects at our production site, ensuring planning, design, installation and delivery of industrial systems while aligning with safety and operational excellence. You will bridge engineering, operations, suppliers and stakeholders to improve efficiency, reliability and long-term performance. You'll manage project lifecycles, apply technical calculations, and drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Responsabilidades
Manage full project lifecycle from planning to delivery
Coordinate activities across commercial, technical, logistical and commissioning phases
Contribute to project portfolio management and budgeting
Perform mechanical and thermodynamic calculations related to production equipment
Oversee installation of equipment and piping systems in production areas
Ensure solutions comply with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements
Define and validate technical specifications for equipment and materials
Support procurement to ensure cost-effective solutions
Coordinate installation and engineering activities with plant departments
Support engineering and maintenance activities across the site
Monitor project progress and escalate risks or non-conformities
Supervise contractors and suppliers ensuring quality and safety standards
Contribute to improving operational reliability, energy efficiency and cost optimization
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Requisitos principales Degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields
Experience or strong interest in project management within industrial or manufacturing environments
Good understanding of production processes and industrial equipment (chemical, food, fragrance or similar sectors)
Experience in multidisciplinary projects
Knowledge of SAP or similar systems is a plus
Familiarity with food safety, GMP or industrial standards is an asset
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
