Overview

In this Backend Engineer role, you contribute across the full feature lifecycle to build scalable backend systems for the Grow & Engage domain. You collaborate with Product Owners and Designers to translate user needs into robust services that support customers from day one. The role sits in a mission-driven team with a focus on modern cloud architectures and continuous discovery, design, and delivery. You’ll work in a hybrid setup in Berlin or Barcelona and help shape impactful fintech features and performance.

Responsabilidades

- Participate in discovery, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of software
- Manage individual project priorities and deliverables within a collaborative team




- Stay up to date with technology trends and share findings during Get Stuff Done Days (GSDD)
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Designers to translate requirements into backend solutions
- Contribute to scalable, secure, well-documented codebase

Requisitos principales

- Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin a plus)
- Solid understanding of microservice architecture
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, preferably AWS
- Strong bias for action and delivery
- Commitment to security-focused development and well-tested, well-documented code
- Ability to give and receive open, direct, timely feedback
