Applications are invited for a research programmer position at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain.

The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Manuel Hermenegildo, Pedro López, and José Francisco Morales,

The main objective is to perform a number of research support tasks focused on improving the usability, maturity, and competitiveness of the Ciao abstract interpretation-based tools, and the related systems being developed and maintained at the Institute. The aim is both to improve our research infrastructure and to increase the impact of these tools. The systems involved include a) the CiaoPP analyzer/verifier as well as the Ciao Prolog language and libraries, and b) other tools that are based on Ciao and CiaoPP, such as s(CASP).

Who should apply?

Candidates Should Have Earned a Bachelor, Master’s, Or PhD Degree In Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Or Mathematics, With Interest And Expertise In At Least Some Of The Following Areas

- Program analysis and verification
- Abstract interpretation
- (Constraint) logic programming
- Compilers
- Logic and formal methods
- Testing

Solid programming skills will be highly valued. The position requires good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English.
