Lead Software Engineer at Dow Jones Platform Team, shaping next-gen web, mobile, and AI platforms for Dow Jones brands across B2C and B2B. You drive architecture, alignment with product goals, and scalable delivery with cross-functional partners. You’ll tackle performance, reliability, and usability while removing roadblocks and mentoring engineers. This is a chance to influence the platform that powers premium products and experiences for readers and customers.

• Define application architecture models and standards with direction-setting support
• Analyze complex tech problems and propose solutions across multiple teams
• Collaborate with product to manage scope and deliverables for technical roadmaps
• Coordinate with Dow Jones and News Corp engineers to reuse and extend shared technologies
• Oversee deployments to production environments
• Design and implement developer tooling, testing, monitoring, change management, and implementation processes
• Set development standards for building and maintaining applications and services,



including language/tool recommendations
• Identify strategic technical debt and provide cost/benefit analysis with prioritization timelines

Responsabilidades
• 5+ years in software engineering
• 2-4 years in a lead engineering role
• Experience with B2C/B2B digital products and high-traffic websites
• Strong JavaScript and web best practices knowledge
• Advanced CSS (Grid, Flexbox, Media Queries, etc.)
• Experience with AI tools (Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI) for productivity
• Familiarity with agentic software solutions
• Collaboration on large scale projects
• Fundamentals of web development, SOA, cloud computing, TDD and DDD
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus
