Regulatory Affairs Specialist Location: Madrid (hybrid) | Department: Quality | Reports to: Chief Product Officer At Smileat, we believe good nutrition can change the future of little ones. Every day we work to offer organic, honest, quality products made with ingredients families actually understand — accompanying them through the most wonderful adventure there is. This role exists to ensure that every product, label, and piece of communication from the company complies with current food regulations in each target market — domestic and international — safeguarding regulatory, health, and reputational compliance.
But the mission doesn't stop at "spotting problems": it also means interpreting and translating that regulatory complexity into clear decisions that let the company launch and export safely and with agility. Beyond qualifications and experience, we're looking for someone who: Has applied food regulations hands-on — in quality, R&D;, or a regulatory affairs department — not just studied them during their degree. Has a working knowledge of project management to keep track of projects and teams.
Has an international mindset: comfortable working in English, researching other countries' legislation, and dealing with subsidiaries or clients outside Spain. Is meticulous by nature,
aware that a labeling mistake isn't a minor detail but a real legal and health risk.
What we expect from you: Once in the role, we expect you to: Become the internal go-to person for any questions on regulatory compliance, labeling, or exports. Rigorously validate every label, claim, and technical data sheet before it reaches the market, understanding the real impact of each decision.
Act as a bridge between legal and the business: provide real support to R&D;, Marketing, and Sales without becoming a bottleneck. Permanent full-time contract. 60 versátil remote working days per year. Flexible working hours.
Continuous learning and professional development opportunities. Modern offices in Madrid's Gran Vía. Summer intensive working schedule. In-office physiotherapy sessions.
