We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Denim Designer to join the Barcelona design studio of a leading international denim business.

This is an opportunity for a designer with a genuine passion for denim to work in a highly international environment, developing collections and concepts for some of Europe’s leading fashion retailers.

The successful candidate will combine strong creative design capabilities with a solid technical understanding of denim fabrics, washes, finishes and garment development.

The Role Working from the Barcelona studio, you will be involved across the denim design and development process, collaborating closely with customers, product teams and manufacturing facilities.

Key responsibilities will include

- Designing and developing commercial denim collections aligned with customer and market requirements
- Researching seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, washes, finishes and details
- Translating trends and customer direction into commercially relevant denim concepts
- Working closely with fabric, wash, product development and manufacturing teams
- Developing presentations, mood boards and collection concepts for customers
- Supporting customer meetings and design presentations
- Following developments from initial concept through sampling and product execution
- Maintaining a strong awareness of developments across the European denim and fashion market




- Travelling occasionally to manufacturing facilities in Asia

The Profile We are particularly interested in designers who bring:
- Approximately 4 – 8 years of fashion design experience
- Demonstrable professional experience designing denim
- Strong understanding of denim fabrics, washes, finishes and garment construction
- Experience developing commercially relevant product for the European market
- Strong trend awareness and ability to translate creative ideas into commercial product
- Experience working with cross-functional development and production teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English
- Ability to travel internationally approximately 1–2 times per year

Experience working with major European fashion retailers or within an international denim supplier environment would be particularly relevant.

Location The position is based in Barcelona and candidates already based in Barcelona or the surrounding area are strongly encouraged to apply.
