EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe's largest network for transport innovation in cities. We connect public and private actors and provide them with access to markets, talent, finance and knowledge. Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

About EIT Urban Mobility Academy Our EIT Urban Mobility Academy is a collaborative arena for lifelong learning, helping to build critical capabilities for innovation and transformation. We are training the next generation of urban mobility practitioners, needed by the urban mobility ecosystem of the future.

The webpage of EIT Urban Mobility Academy is: Within the Academy, Urban Mobility Explained (UMX) offers a variety of training programmes and experiences on hot topics in urban mobility and transport for professionals and organisations around Europe. In close collaboration with universities, business schools, consultancies and mobility experts, this lifelong learning initiative uses different formats including light online material in a YouTube channel, online courses (asynchronous), and face-to-face (F2F) courses (on-site, online synchronous and blended).

The Course Content

Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the present and future of UMX. You will help shape the future development of the UMX portfolio by identifying emerging topics, sourcing expertise, converting knowledge into high‐impact learning experiences, and ensuring our content remains aligned with the evolving needs of cities, public authorities, mobility operators and industry stakeholders across Europe. You will support EIT Urban Mobility's long-term strategy by developing high‐impact courses that generate independent value and revenue within our five Priority Domains: (1) shared and public transport (2) urban logistics, (3) mobility AI and data management, (4) electrification and alternative fuels, and (5) health and mobility.

Working alongside internal and external subject‐matter experts, you will contribute to programme design, ecosystem building, expert sourcing, content governance, funding opportunities and project development activities.





Strategic Content Development & KPI Compliance: Support the delivery and continuous improvement of UMX courses, ensuring they meet revenue, KPI and compliance requirements. Identify emerging mobility trends and strategic topics, and transform research, project outputs and thought leadership into new learning products, use cases and educational assets. Support the definition of content priorities and future portfolio growth opportunities.

Expert

Sourcing, Network Building & Knowledge Management: Build and maintain a high‐quality network of urban mobility and transport experts across Europe and beyond. Develop and manage a centralised expert database, identify and engage contributors for learning activities, and establish processes that ensure the quality, relevance and transferability of expertise across the organisation.

Autonomous Vehicles Academy

Development & Project Management: Act as the primary operational lead supporting the development of EIT Urban Mobility's Autonomous Mobility Academy Initiative. Coordinate stakeholders, partnerships and project development activities, while supporting funding opportunities, ecosystem engagement and programme planning.

Content

Governance, Review & Quality Assurance: Act as content owner for a portfolio of UMX learning activities. Review and challenge content to ensure it is accurate, practical and relevant for target audiences, while working closely with subject‐matter experts and internal teams to maintain high quality standards and continuously improve the learner experience. Monitor developments across the mobility ecosystem and identify reports, studies, project outputs and market insights that can be transformed into learning assets and new course opportunities.

Collaborate with marketing, business development, learning and other EIT Urban Mobility teams, while contributing to wider organisational initiatives, events and thought leadership activities. 7+ years of professional experience in urban mobility, transport innovation,



mobility technology, innovation ecosystems or closely related sectors, including experience working with experts, knowledge products, training programmes or thought leadership initiatives. ~3+ years working experience(s) in managing/producing education or learning activities and trainings, preferably in a blended format (partly online, partly on‐site), ideally for a professional or lifelong learning audience. ~ Proven ability to identify, assess and engage subject‐matter experts and build professional networks across complex stakeholder ecosystems. ~ Ability to translate research findings, project outputs and technical knowledge into practical learning materials and educational products. ~ Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess content quality, challenge assumptions and work effectively with senior experts. ~ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (C1 level or above), both written and spoken. ~ A positive 'can-do' and hands‐on mindset, curious and fast digital learner capable of adapting to digital tools like Netsuite and WordPress. Demonstrable experience, project involvement and/or an active professional network in autonomous mobility.
