The Financial & Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and oversight of Barcelona studio's finance and accounting operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budget control, and full compliance with both local regulations and group-level financial standards.

Working closely with internal stakeholders such as Production and HR, the Financial & Accounting Manager provides reliable financial insight to support decision-making and reports directly to the Studio Manager.

As part of Vantage Finance teams, the F&A; Manager will be involved in the integral financial processes of the Creative House with frequent interactions beyond the Barcelona Studio with internal finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee general accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and monthly closings.
- Prepare, coordinate, and monitor budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis.
- Produce and present monthly financial reports for local management and HQ.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and group policies.
- Monitor and control project-related budgets, ensuring proper financial tracking and execution.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, acting as the main financial point of contact.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and internal controls.
- Management of the finance and accounting team.
- Advise on and ensure compliance with Spanish financial and legal requirements related to R&D; subventions and grants.




- Manage documentation and reporting obligations for public funding programs.
- Depending on the candidate's experience and skills, the role may also include cross-functional support for Vantage Finance reporting.
- Leverage data-driven approaches to build business intelligence reports and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable financial insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certification (e.G., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Spanish accounting standards.
- Understanding of Spanish tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal; or willing to learn Spanish.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience in implementing and improving financial processes and controls.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial management tools.
- Located or willing to relocate in Barcelona.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and compliance-focused, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Prior experience managing a team a plus.
