As Tooling Technician at Valeo, you drive mold development for P1 projects, ensuring alignment with QCD and Valeo standards. You collaborate with R&D;, suppliers, and plants to validate tooling, parameters, and process readiness, enabling robust ramp-up and product quality. You will influence mold design through MOLDFLOW analysis and ensure conformance to environmental and safety practices. This role offers impact across integral programs in a leading, sustainability-minded automotive tech company.
Responsabilidades
- Participate in project RFQ to orient mold and injection topics for favorable industrial conditions
- Review plastic part designs for manufacturability with respect to injection process and tooling
- Analyze MOLDFLOW simulations to guide design, mold specs, and injection parameters
- Adhere to Valeo standards and documentation practices (VRF/SVRF, Molds, Rules)
- Define mold VRF/SVRF for supplier insourcing in coordination with Tooling Purchase Engineer, R&D;, and project teams
- Ensure mold tooling design validation with Valeo plants and métiers
- Oversee steel and machining orders
- Support Quality & Project teams in part analysis across trials
- Lead technical corrective actions tied to trial part analyses
- Maintain status of mold building and tuning via trials, reports, and dismounting by supplier
- Maintain injection process status and tuning through supplier-delivered documentation
- Support Valeo plant teams during mold and process fine-tuning on-site
- Validate Product/Process objectives (cycle time, scrap) and pass Process Audit and Initial Samples milestones
- Secure ramp-up for FDPR and SOP
- Respect project planning, budget, and technical deliverables for mold development
- Promote capitalization and standardization of best practices at RO and PG level
- Report status, performance, KPIs, and propose actions to hierarchy
- Contribute to Quality standards ensuring product and service conformity
- Respect EH&S; standards and risk prevention for robust system performance
- Other responsibilities per competences and business needs (agreed with supervisor)
