Overview

As a technical expert and customer-facing representative, you will support HVAC controls and BAS/BMS implementations for commercial and industrial clients. You’ll collaborate with project teams and field staff to commission, maintain, and optimize building automation solutions. You drive system reliability, energy efficiency, and rapid issue resolution on site and during post-install support. This role offers hands-on impact across equipment, networks, and software in a integral, mission-driven organization.

Responsabilidades

- Perform startup, commissioning, testing, and validation of HVAC and BAS/BMS at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment, control systems, field devices, networks, and software
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance and system upgrades
- Analyze system performance and propose actions to improve reliability and efficiency
- Support emergency service calls and critical system recovery
- Maintain and optimize HVAC control systems (chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, VAV, FCUs, cooling towers, pumps)
- Configure and support BMS/BAS, implement modifications, updates, and sequence changes
- Verify sensors, actuators, controllers, and field devices operate correctly
- Support system integration using BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and IP networks
- Assist with controller programming, network configuration, and database management
- Diagnose network issues and improve performance




- Provide technical support and customer training on HVAC controls and BAS operation
- Develop service reports, maintain customer relationships, and ensure responsive service delivery
- Collaborate with project engineering, System engineering, Application Engineering, sales, and operations on retrofit and modernization projects
- Identify energy-saving opportunities and operational improvements while ensuring safety and quality compliance

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field
- 3–5 years of experience in HVAC controls, BAS, field service engineering, application engineering, or technical service support
- Experience commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC systems, BMS/BAS, and control platforms (Niagara framework)
- Experience working with commercial and industrial customers
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment and system operation, BAS/BMS, DDC systems
- Familiarity with network architecture and communication protocols
- Electrical troubleshooting and control panel diagnostics
- Energy management and building performance optimization
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and industry best practices
