We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our Madrid office and take responsibility for providing day-to-day HR support to the Spanish business.
As the standalone HR professional based in Madrid, you will be the principal point of contact for employees and managers on local HR matters. You will provide practical advice throughout the employee lifecycle, support managers with people-related decisions and ensure local HR practices remain consistent with company policies and Spanish employment legislation.
Although this is a standalone position in Madrid, you will form part of the wider MPW-EMEA HR function and work with regional HR colleagues when appropriate.
This is a broad and hands-on role covering employee relations, HR administration, manager support, policies, HR systems, recruitment coordination, onboarding and employee development. It would suit a confident HR professional who is comfortable working independently, exercising sound judgement and building trusted relationships across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers in Spain on HR matters throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Provide clear, practical and consistent HR advice to employees and managers.
- Coach and support managers in effective people management practices.
- Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and appeal processes.
- Support workplace investigations and ensure cases are managed fairly, consistently and in accordance with company procedures and Spanish employment legislation.
- Support managers with performance management and progressive disciplinary processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files and HR systems, ensuring information is handled securely and confidentially.
