A integral insurer is expanding its transactional risk practice into Latin America and is looking to appoint an attorney into the team as an M&A; Underwriter to play a central role in that growth. You will be responsible for assessing, structuring, and underwriting W&I; insurance across a broad range of cross-border transactions with a primary focus on the LatAm region. Working closely with brokers, legal advisors, and deal teams, you will be at the heart of high-value international M&A; activity - building relationships, evaluating risk, and helping to establish the firm's presence and reputation in the region.
You will bring a strong legal background preferably with some attachment to Latin American and most likely as a transactional attorney with M&A; or corporate experience - combined with a genuine interest in the insurance side of deal-making. what matters is strong legal analytical ability, commercial instinct, and an understanding of how deals are structured and documented in the region. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese (native or near-native) is essential, as is the ability to engage confidently with clients, brokers, and advisors across the region.
