We are looking to incorporate a Java Back-End Software Engineer to our team. You will join our European team, specifically the one involved in several projects for a significant European Agency. Proficiency in back-end languages (Java, PHP) and experience with frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.js). Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.

Experience with APM tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic APM) and knowledge of OpenTelemetry for metrics, logs, and traces. Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL), including writing complex SQL queries and understanding database design. Knowledge of NoSQL document stores (MongoDB, CouchDB, CosmosDB) and understanding of consistency/performance trade-offs.

Experience in designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs and web services,



including OpenAPI/Swagger documentation. Docker, Kubernetes) for developing and deploying applicationsHigh level of English. Development of back-end website applications. Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server-side logic. Design and implementation of data storage solutions.

Apply data and security best practices: input validation, authentication/authorization, secure storage, compliant logging and monitoring. Participating in the design and creation of scalable software. Writing clean, functional code on the back-end.

Ability to analyse complex back-end issues and design effective solutions. Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment. Ability to participate in multilingual meetings. Ability to understand, speak and write English, optionally French as an additional asset.
