Role Description This full-time Vibe Engineer — Full-Stack / Backend Developer role at IAG Services is based in Barcelona in a hybrid setup, combining on-site collaboration with adaptable work-from-home days. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services and full-stack features that support internal tools, client-facing products, and the overall “vibe” and user experience of IAG platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing clean, testable code, integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and collaborating closely with product, design, and data teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

The Vibe

Engineer will help define technical architecture, participate in code reviews, improve development workflows, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the engineering team. This role also involves monitoring production systems, troubleshooting issues, and suggesting improvements to both the codebase and the collaborative culture of the team.

Role Overview:

We are recruiting a Vibe Engineer to join the IAG technology team and help one of our flagship accounts ship operational software at a pace traditional development can't match. You'll be embedded in Vibe Team, a deliberately small delivery team on our client account, building a new production application every month for a BPO/CX client — QA scorecards, workforce management tools, client reporting, escalation tracking — with AI-native development on a governed enterprise app platform (think Lovable, with enterprise-grade RBAC, SSO, audit and environments built in).

We call the role Vibe Engineer because the job is genuinely different from a classic dev seat: the AI writes most of the first draft. Your craft is everything around it — framing the problem precisely, driving the agent well, and applying real engineering judgment to what comes back. Prompt-first, never review-optional: every line that ships passes through human eyes, and yours are half of them.

- You will work in a two-person pod with a Tech Lead, with real ownership of a whole application — not a sliver of one.

Key Responsibilities:

- Frame & Prototype (Week 1): Turn an operational problem into a working clickable prototype with AI generation, put it in front of actual end users, and help make the honest call to continue, pivot or kill.
- Build & Harden (Weeks 2–3): Wire real data through governed connectors, write tests, close out the security checklist, and iterate with the AI on what matters — data models, backend logic, integrations (REST APIs, SQL, SSO via Keycloak).
- Launch & Support (Week 4): Pass the launch gate, deploy to production, and support onboarding plus a two-week hypercare with the team that will live in your app daily.
- Code Review & Security:



Apply human judgment on every AI-generated change — input validation, secrets handling, auth boundaries, least privilege. The platform enforces a lot; you are the judgment on top of it.
- User Discovery: Sit with QA analysts and WFM coordinators, and build the thing they need rather than the thing that was specified.
- Asset Building: Contribute the reusable templates, prompt playbooks per app archetype and agent policies that encode our standards into the platform and make the next app faster.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years shipping web applications — TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python, SQL, REST.
- Solid full-stack or backend fundamentals: you can design a sane data model, reason about an API, debug a query and read a stack trace.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, Lovable or similar), with real opinions about when the output is good and when it's confidently wrong. Accepting AI code unread is the cardinal sin of this discipline.
- Strong review and security instincts.
- Product sense and user empathy, with the comfort to decide fast, ship monthly and kill your own work in week one when users' reactions say so.
- Nice to have: internal-tooling platforms (Superblocks, Retool, Power Platform), CI/CD and Git-based review workflows, BPO/CX exposure, French or Spanish on top of fluent English.
