The Atradius Group provides trade credit insurance, surety and collections services worldwide, and has a presence through 160 offices in 52 countries. The products offered by Atradius protect companies around the world against the default risks associated with selling goods and services on credit.

Department Description

Group Provisioning (GP) is a multidisciplinary unit with a range of responsibilities. They include the regular reporting of the Atradius Group technical provisions under IFRS and Solvency II. We develop and maintain our own tools and models to support this process. The uniqueness of Atradius’ products, combined with the size and heterogeneity of the portfolio, leads to interesting analytical, modelling and programming challenges.

The unit is based in Madrid and Amsterdam and consists of thirteen employees and several contractors. Within GP, the reporting team is responsible for the provisions calculation, substantiation of the provisions balance and variations, as well as reporting to the relevant stakeholders.



The team is multidisciplinary in the sense that it encompasses actuarial skills, knowledge of insurance products, has the ability to interact with units world-wide. The team’s communication skills go hand in hand with the knowledge of the mathematical approaches applied in provisioning.

This team is based in Madrid with daily interactions with the team in Amsterdam.

GP has an important role in the Group’s IFRS 17 program and is responsible for the development and implementation of the actuarial calculations required.
