Job Description:
An opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Manufacturing Engineering Team, playing a key role in driving industrial design, standardizing manufacturing processes, and supporting shop floor execution. The team works in a multicultural, cross-functional environment to ensure safe, robust, and efficient production processes while bridging the gap between Engineering, Supply Chain, and Shop Floor Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Industrial Design & Co-Design: Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to introduce manufacturing best practices, define build processes, and specify industrial assets, jigs, and tooling requirements.
Work Preparation & Documentation: Create and update routings, As-Prepared BoMs, and Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) while managing Delta 2 configuration management and technical sequencing.
Process Optimization & Time Management: Calculate standard time values, perform Standard Work, and drive shop floor continuous improvement and CAPEX planning.
Quality & Risk Assurance: Execute PFMEA/FMEA risk analyses, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and participate in Quality Control Boards to secure process capability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface directly with Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve escalated work prep issues and manage missing parts or MRP impacts.
Industrialization & Modification Support: Drive the 1st installation implementation, run feedback loops, and evaluate industrial impacts of design modifications with IA, ISE, and TDE teams.
SKILLS
Education: Aeronautical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Previous experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Work Preparation, or Production Environment within the aerospace or industrial sector.
