Position: Java Software Engineer

Location: Madrid, Spain

Job Type: Permanent

Job Mode: Hybrid - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote in a week

Skills / Responsibilities:

- Design and own end-to-end solutions for claims management systems

- Translate business requirements from claims operations into scalable technical designs

- Define system architecture, integration patterns, and data flow with upstream/downstream systems (policy, payments, third-party vendors)

- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and compliance standards

- Guide QA and peers on claims-specific logic and edge cases

- Align technical solutions with claims operational workflows

- Develop and review high-quality, maintainable, and secure code

- Perform and lead code reviews

- Write unit, integration, and automated tests

- Support reporting, MI, and analytics needs

- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis

- Provide effort estimates and technical feasibility assessments

- Improve deployment of pipelines (CI/CD)
