Our team and mission
The Directorate of Science is responsible for the strategy of ESA in the field of Space Science and for the definition, planning and execution of the Agency’s Scientific Programme, for setting the cooperative links with the related programmes of ESA Member States and international partners. The Directorate also provides, as required, scientific advice and support for programmes managed by other directorates of the Agency. In addition, the Directorate is responsible for the optional PRODEX Programme to facilitate science payload provision.

Under the direct authority of the Director of Science, the Programme Planning and Management Support Office (SCI-M)



is responsible for the Directorate’s overall human and financial resources planning, controlling, and reporting.Field(s) of activity/research for the traineeship
You will be working for the SCI Reporting Digitalisation Project Lead/SCI-M Reporting Coordinator (Head of SCI-MS). In this role, you will be:
- supporting the overall project coordination of tasks, priorities, schedule, meeting organisation, communication/training organisation, documentation and interface management;
- contributing and providing inputs to reporting procedures e.g. dashboard reporting, balanced scorecard and key performance indicators;
- contributing to the development of a SCI Member States Dash Board;
- regularly interfacing with the SCI Directorate Service contract support team in the daily management of the ongoing development and testing activities;
- regularly interfacing with the Corporate Development team (Data Factory,
