Main function and scope:

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in the design, calculation and validation of mechanical systems subjected to shock, vibration and extreme loads. The successful candidate will join a project focused on the development of high-precision sensors and robotic systems, with the objective of reaching TRL9 in an extremely demanding operating environment and severe operating conditions.

Core functions:
- Mechanical design of the system and its subassemblies.
- Define structural solutions, materials, joints, encapsulation, isolation and protection strategies.
- Perform structural and thermal calculations and simulations, dynamic analyses, and shock and vibration simulations.
- Analyse stresses, deformations, natural modes and vibration transmission.
- Evaluate thermal dissipation,



mechanical stability and system behaviour in demanding environments.
- Develop modal analyses and assess design margins.
- Define design criteria focused on reliability, repeatability, manufacturability and electronics integration.
- Ensure the dimensional stability and mechanical robustness of the system.
- Participate in the definition of environmental tests.
- Interpret test results, identify failures and propose redesigns.
- Collaborate in the technical planning of a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with electronics, firmware, systems and testing teams.

Required experience and candidate profile:
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering or similar.
- Senior-level experience in the mechanical design of systems subjected to severe dynamic environments.
- Strong command of mechanical calculation, structural simulation and vibration analysis, preferably using ANSYS or similar FEA tool
