Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer you design and build scalable, cloud-native backend services in Scala to support data ingestion, transformation, and analytics at scale. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders across AWS and GCP to deliver reliable data pipelines and secure cloud integrations. You’ll lead code reviews, mentor teammates, and implement robust testing to ensure operational excellence. Responsabilidades

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala
- Build distributed data processing pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics
- Integrate with cloud services across AWS and GCP
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using cloud-native identity services
- Ensure reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews and mentoring




- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud-based environments
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies (unit, component, integration)

Requisitos principales

- Proficiency in Scala and sbt
- Strong functional programming principles
- Experience with Circe for JSON handling
- Hands-on AWS and/or GCP experience
- Knowledge of IAM, STS, AssumeRole, WebIdentity
- Experience with AWS S3 and AWS STS
- Experience with Google BigQuery and Dataflow
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL
- Experience with FS2 and cats-effect
- Familiarity with Google Pub/Sub
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Finagle or similar RPC frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field
- 4+ years of backend/data platforms experience
- Git and modern development workflows
