Overview

Senior Software Engineer to help build a cloud-native data processing platform. You design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Scala for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics across AWS and GCP. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, observability, and secure cloud integrations. You’ll mentor engineers, participate in reviews, and push for high-quality, well-documented code. This role offers impact in shaping a scalable data platform within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsabilidades

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala
- Build distributed data-processing systems for large-scale workloads
- Develop integrations with AWS and GCP cloud services
- Implement secure authentication/authorization with cloud-native identity services
- Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements
- Ensure reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed,



cloud-based environments
- Develop and execute testing strategies (unit, component, integration)

Requisitos principales

- Strong proficiency in Scala and sbt
- Solid functional programming knowledge
- Experience with JSON handling (Circe)
- Hands-on AWS and/or GCP experience
- Knowledge of IAM, STS, AssumeRole, WebIdentity
- Experience with AWS SDKs (S3, STS)
- Experience with Google BigQuery, Dataflow
- Strong SQL skills and PostgreSQL experience
- Experience with FS2, cats-effect
- Familiarity with Google Pub/Sub
- Testing experience (unit, component, integration)
- Git and modern DevOps workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Finagle or similar RPC frameworks
- Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration/workflow tools
- Kubernetes deployment and containerization familiarity
- Building observable, resilient data processing systems
