Overview
In this Senior Mechanical Engineer role, you contribute to the design, development and testing of mechanical components for an implantable neuromodulation system. You will collaborate with electronics, systems, quality and regulatory teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions. The position offers front-line involvement in bringing advanced neurotech to market, with a focus on reliability, safety and scalable production in a dynamic startup environment. You will shape concepts, validate designs and support cross-functional milestones to meet regulatory approvals and patient impact.

Responsabilidades
- Lead design, assembly, prototyping of implantable mechanical components in collaboration with circuits, systems, quality and regulatory teams
- Design for reliability, manufacturing and test including concept engineering, FEM analysis, and mechanical modelling
- Produce detailed device design documentation (BOM, drawings, specifications, test plans) compliant with ISO 13485 and ISO 14971
- Coordinate with external partners for outsourced design/assembly/test of implantable VNS components
- Define test plans to verify safety and mechanical performance per applicable standards
- Build and execute bench tests, characterization, integration and system testing
- Prepare and contribute to design/technical/milestone reviews
- Apply Design for Reliability/Manufacturing/Test (DFR/DFM/DFT) concepts and analyses
- Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Clinical and Project Management on formal product development and stage reviews
Requisitos principales
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years in Med Tech with full development cycle experience
- 5+ years in mechanical CAD design, selection of medical-grade materials and components, safety/performance testing, requirements-based design
- Ability to oversee subcontracted activities
- Strong hands-on skills and experience with workshop tools
- Experience with MDR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601
- Fast learner, self-motivated, proactive in a fast-moving startup environment
