Overview

In this role you will own the design and governance of enterprise data models built on Data Vault 2.0 within a Medallion Architecture for the Finance domain. You will act as the authoritative voice on data structure, semantics, and integrity to enable robust analytics. You’ll work with SMEs, product owners, and BI teams to ensure models support reporting needs, while enforcing standards and maintaining a living catalog. This is a chance to shape data foundations at scale in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with meaningful business impact.

Responsabilidades

- Own data model design across the integrated vault layer and business-facing analytical structures, ensuring historical accuracy and analytical fitness
- Define and govern the modeling approach for each business domain based on business and technical requirements
- Deliver precise, implementation-ready model specifications for data engineering teams
- Translate complex business requirements into formal data models with SMEs and product owners to capture domain semantics




- Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to validate consumption-ready structures meet reporting needs
- Define and enforce modeling standards, naming conventions, and metadata documentation practices, maintaining a catalog of enterprise data models

Requisitos principales

- Lead the full Data Vault modeling lifecycle from conceptual sessions to logical and physical design
- Deep hands-on Data Vault 2.0 expertise and strong dimensional modeling for analytics
- Govern data models across historized and consumption layers with clear contracts
- Solid understanding of Medallion Architecture and layer mapping
- Produce unambiguous, implementation-ready model specifications for execution by data engineering teams
- Experience at the intersection of business and technology; formalizing domain knowledge into data structures
- Proficiency with data modeling tools and familiarity with ETL/ELT patterns (not owning development)
- Excellent documentation and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with SAP data structures and modeler perspectives, including ECC vs S/4HANA implications
- 5–8 years of enterprise data modeling experience
