Overview

In this role you will lead the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered product features on the Cortellis platform. You will shape scalable backend and frontend solutions, integrating GenAI capabilities and agent-based workflows to support mission-critical pharmaceutical decision-making. You’ll collaborate with UX and distributed teams to ensure reliable, production-ready AI integrations and measurable outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership position that balances architectural impact with delivering customer-facing capabilities. You will drive technical decisions and mentor engineers to elevate the team’s engineering excellence.

Responsabilidades

- Design and deliver scalable backend features from architecture to production
- Build and maintain microservices and APIs using Java and Node.js with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
- Own end-to-end product features from concept to rollout and continuous improvement
- Integrate AI capabilities (LLM features, RAG patterns, agent workflows)



into the platform
- Improve AI output quality, manage limitations, and optimize performance for production
- Apply prompt engineering best practices and contribute to reliable AI-enabled systems
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain teams to deliver high-impact solutions
- Mentor and support other engineers to raise engineering standards across the team

Requisitos principales

- 7+ years backend development experience (Java 11/17, Spring Boot, microservices)
- 6+ years frontend experience (Angular, Node.js) and full-stack product development
- 3+ years integrating AI in production (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI), including prompt engineering and AI assistants
- Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines (chunking, embeddings, retrieval orchestration) and evaluating AI systems
- Experience delivering end-to-end product features with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience building and scaling AI-enabled platforms in production
