At Thea, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and support the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of our local Quality Management System.
Reporting to and working closely with the Responsible Person, this role will play a key part in ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), local regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. The successful candidate will provide operational quality support across the affiliate, contributing to the maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality and compliance excellence.
This position is idóneo for a quality professional who enjoys hands-on operational activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and working in a highly regulated environment.
This is a 6-month fixed-term opportunity with the intention to transition into a permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to develop professionally within a dynamic and international healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance, implementation, and continuous improvement of the local Quality Management System.
- Work closely with the Responsible Person to ensure compliance with GDP requirements, local regulations, and internal quality standards.
- Manage and maintain quality documentation, procedures, records, and controlled documents.
- Support the management of deviations, non-conformities, change controls, and CAPA processes, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, and execution of internal and external audits, inspections,
and quality assessments.
- Participate in supplier qualification and performance monitoring activities.
- Coordinate and maintain quality-related training records and support training initiatives.
- Monitor quality metrics and prepare reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote quality awareness and compliance across the organization.
- Contribute to risk assessment activities and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or other regulated industry.
- Knowledge of GDP requirements and quality management systems.
- Experience supporting audits, CAPA management, deviations, and quality documentation processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
