As a Software Engineer on the Payments Platform, you help build and scale Flywire’s global payment engine, impacting speed, reliability and client experience. You’ll contribute across backend and possibly full-stack areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-volume, secure payment services. The role blends hands-on engineering with exposure to cloud, AI-enabled development and platform engineering, in a fast-growing FinTech environment. Valencia-based hybrid work offers a chance to work on mission-critical systems used by clients across industries. You’ll join a diverse, globally distributed team and shape how AI tools improve engineering productivity and outcomes.

Responsabilidades

- Build and maintain services supporting high-volume payment systems
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code and contribute to new features
- Support platform reliability, performance and security
- Investigate production issues and resolve technical problems




- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, SRE and Engineers across global teams
- Explore AI-enabled tools to enhance engineering productivity and problem solving

Requisitos principales

- Around 2 years’ experience in software or application development
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering, backend or full stack
- Experience with APIs, web services or REST-based architecture
- Understanding of object-oriented design
- Exposure to relational databases
- Interest in scalable systems, cloud platforms and reliability
- Ability to learn new languages, frameworks and tools
- Curiosity about AI, LLMs and modern engineering workflows
- Excellent communication and English proficiency
- Product-minded with awareness of how engineering decisions affect customers and the business
- Valencia-based or open to relocating to Valencia in Spain
- FinTech or payments experience is desirable but not required
