Overview

In this founding-level design leadership role, you will set and raise the quality bar for a growing design team at n8n, guiding UX across complex, developer-facing products. You’ll shape product strategy with design thinking, expand the user base beyond technical builders, and strengthen the design system and research practice. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, and leadership to drive evidence-based decisions and craft compelling, trustworthy AI-enabled experiences. This is a chance to influence a fast-evolving product and culture at scale.

Responsabilidades

- Define and uphold a clear quality bar for design work across the team
- Create and refine review processes and critique rituals to standardize craft
- Evolve design system and QA practices as the team scales
- Tackle UX challenges to lower the learning curve for new users while preserving power for experts
- Shapes product strategy through design thinking and active roadmap input
- Lead and grow the design team (approximately 14 designers including leads, ICs, and researchers) and manage hiring and progression




- Embed research into decision-making; build a pragmatic UX research practice from the ground up
- Promote practical AI adoption within design, supporting prototyping, synthesis, QA, and workflow efficiency
- Foster cross-functional partnerships with Product, Engineering, and leadership to position design as a true thought partner
- Model thoughtful, adaptive, and forward-looking working styles
