Overview

As a Backend Engineer in Grow & Engage, you will help build scalable backend systems that power the user journey from signup to premium memberships. You’ll collaborate with Product Owners and Designers to translate user needs into robust services. The role emphasizes discovery, design, development and maintenance in a modern, cloud-based environment. You’ll work in a cross-functional team with a strong emphasis on security, testability, and rapid delivery, contributing to a mission-driven fintech platform.

Responsabilidades

- Participate in discovery, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of software
- Prioritize individual projects within a collaborative team setting




- Stay current with technology trends and propose improvements during Get Stuff Done Days
- Work closely with Product Owners and Designers to translate requirements into backend solutions
- Contribute to scalable, secure microservice-based architectures
- Ensure code is well-tested and well-documented

Requisitos principales

- Experience in a JVM language with Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin a plus)
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Security-conscious development and a bias for action
- Ability to write clean, testable, and well-documented code
