As Power Converter Engineer, you lead the technical development and integration of wind turbine power converters with suppliers, shaping concepts and architectures to meet electrical system requirements. You will validate designs, supervise tests, and produce documentation to support certification and manufacturing. You work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable converter solutions. The role combines hands-on design with rigorous validation in a growth-focused wind energy company.
Responsabilidades
- Serve as the main technical focal point for converter suppliers and coordinate engineering activities for power converter development and integration
- Define converter concepts, architecture, and detailed specifications aligned with electrical system requirements
- Develop converter subassembly designs, specs, and validation plans with supplier/manufacturer collaboration
- Create and maintain technical documentation for the main converter, including specs, manuals,
instructions, and certification support
- Oversee inspections, testing, and validation at supplier sites and test benches
- Provide technical support for sourcing and certification, including alternative components validation
- Perform hardware design simulations and Matlab-based analysis to support development and validation
Requisitos principales
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems
- +3 years in the wind turbine sector
- Experience with Matlab is a plus
- Fluent English (C1 or above)
- For foreign qualifications, recognition as Spanish degree equivalency is required when applying
