Overview
In this role you will contribute to building and refining Android Framework components for IVI systems, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust mobile solutions. You will shape the future IVI experience by implementing features, diagnosing issues, and maintaining healthy codebases in a fast‑paced, agile environment. The work centers on Android Automotive OS, open‑source collaboration, and end‑to‑end delivery within a large multi‑hundred‑person program. This is an opportunity to influence system behavior and performance in vehicles at scale.
Responsabilidades
- Collaborate in an end‑to‑end team with system engineers, product owners, designers, backend teams, and QA
- Implement, test, and refine new features for the Android Automotive application stack
- Translate requirements from Product Managers and UI/UX designers into integrated technical solutions
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve defects, bugs, and performance issues promptly
- Maintain and enhance codebase health through refactoring and optimization
Requisitos principales
- Advanced Android development expertise with a proven track record of delivering applications
- Kotlin and Java programming, with comprehensive Android SDK familiarity
- Experience with Android Architecture Components (Lifecycle, ViewModel) and design patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, SOLID)
- Deep knowledge of Android Framework (services, ContentProviders, IPC via Binder/AIDL/Messenger/Intents), and permissions model
- Understanding of Android system aspects (process lifecycle, memory management, OOM, ActivityManagerService, app sandboxing, security)
- Proficiency with logcat, performance profiling, and debugging tools
- Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git
- Familiarity with Linux internals, shell operations, SELinux, and embedded system concepts
- Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) including app models, HMI constraints, Car APIs
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues methodically
- Ability to optimize performance using technical tools and debugging resources
- Capability to adapt to platform-specific constraints and requirements
