Overview

In this role you will own the design and governance of enterprise data models built on Data Vault 2.0 within a Medallion Architecture. You will be the authoritative voice on data structure, semantics, and integrity across domains. You’ll translate business requirements into formal models and collaborate with BI teams to ensure consumption-ready structures. You’ll define standards, maintain a living catalog of models, and drive cross-functional data governance in a science-driven, growth-oriented environment.

Responsabilidades

- Lead in the data model design for the integrated vault layer and business-facing analytics structures, ensuring historical correctness and analytical readiness
- Define domain-specific modeling approaches and layer structure based on business and technical needs
- Produce implementation-ready model specifications for data engineering teams
- Translate complex business requirements into formal data models with SME and product owner input




- Collaborate with BI/analytics teams to validate that models meet reporting and analytical needs
- Establish and enforce modeling standards, naming conventions, and metadata practices; maintain a living catalog of enterprise data models

Requisitos principales

- Proven leadership of the full Data Vault modeling lifecycle (conceptual to physical)
- Deep, hands-on Data Vault 2.0 expertise and strong dimensional modeling for analytics
- Ability to govern data models across historized and consumption layers with clear contracts
- Solid understanding of Medallion Architecture and layer mapping
- Experience translating domain knowledge into rigorous data structures
- Proficiency with data modeling tools and understanding of ETL/ELT translation (implementation not owned)
- Excellent documentation and communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with SAP data structures and business object models; awareness of ECC vs S/4HANA implications
- 5–8 years in enterprise data modeling within cross-functional environments
