Overview

As a Senior Engineer in Preply’s Engineering team, you will shape backend services and integrations to power personalized learning journeys. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features validated by A/B tests while upholding high-quality, scalable systems. You’ll guide technical decision-making and foster best practices, including observability and reliability. This role blends hands-on development with system design in a fast-growing, integral learning platform that supports tutors and learners alike.

Responsabilidades

- Develop and own backend features using Python/Django for new services and third-party integrations
- Collaborate with product, design,



analytics and engineering to define customer-focused solutions
- Balance rapid delivery with long-term code quality, maintainability and scalability
- Guide the team on best practices, testing culture, code reviews, monitoring, and reliability

Requisitos principales

- Exposure to architectural patterns in large-scale web applications
- Willingness to handle small JS/TS tasks when needed
- Strong troubleshooting ability and root-cause analysis
- High sense of ownership and self-organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Minimum B2 English level
- Willingness to be on-call for squad (1 week every 5 weeks)
