Overview

In this role you lead Deel's Credit Risk & Analytics, building AI/ML-based underwriting, real-time portfolio monitoring, and risk-adjusted performance insights. You’ll partner with Product and Engineering to deploy models and embed governance across the business. You will expand credit access to underserved markets by incorporating non-traditional data, and shape underwriting strategy to enable sustainable growth. You’ll drive scalable analytics and risk governance across cross-functional teams to improve outcomes.

Responsabilidades

- Build and maintain a credit risk analytics capability for portfolio optimization and loss forecasting
- Lead iterative development of underwriting and pricing models, from data sourcing to production deployment
- Incorporate non-traditional data sources (transactional, behavioral) to improve predictive accuracy and access
- Architect real-time monitoring, automatic alerts for portfolio health, KRIs, concentration exposure, and collections
- Identify risk signals for new products, markets,



or customer segments
- Design and run A/B tests for underwriting criteria, pricing, and segments
- Develop credit risk governance processes, including committees, reporting, and escalation
- Ensure models/pipelines are auditable, scalable, and deployment-ready
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Engineering on underwriting strategy
- Apply predictive analytics to optimize collections and recovery outcomes
- Provide analytics training and documentation to raise risk literacy across teams

Requisitos principales

- 15+ years in credit risk management with leadership in consumer and SME lending
- Hands-on experience building, validating, and deploying AI/ML underwriting or scoring models
- Experience using alternative data for lending
- Proven ability to manage credit risk for new products, markets, and segments
- Strong leadership and ability to train non-technical stakeholders in analytics and risk concepts
