Overview

As Lead Software Developer at SITA, you will steer the design and delivery of scalable, secure software in a fast-moving aviation tech environment. You will collaborate with product, data, and AI teams to build high-performance applications, guiding architecture and engineering best practices. Your work enables AI-enabled components and robust backend services that scale across the air transport ecosystem. Responsabilidades

- Lead design, development and delivery of scalable software (Java/Python) and AI-enabled components
- Architect and maintain backend services, APIs and microservices (e.g., Spring Boot)
- Drive scalability, security, observability and performance improvements
- Oversee AI/ML component integration and data services interfaces




- Lead engineering delivery: estimation, planning, code reviews, debt management and CI/CD improvements
- Mentor engineers, set quality standards and promote knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps and data/AI teams in an Agile environment

Requisitos principales

- 7+ years of software development experience with proven senior/lead delivery
- Strong Java expertise (Spring Boot, Hibernate) and solid Python experience
- Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems and system design
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), Docker and CI/CD practices
- Solid knowledge of software security fundamentals (IAM, SSL/TLS, OAuth/JWT) and secure coding; compliance exposure is a plus
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases and observability
- Nice to have: Angular, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, AI/ML familiarity, MLOps
- Aviation/OCC domain exposure is a strong advantage
