Overview

In this role you will strengthen the quality of Emburse’s AI-powered expense platform by designing and executing comprehensive tests. You will collaborate with software, product, and analytics teams to improve test coverage, reliability, and customer experience. You’ll build test automation, mentor juniors, and help shape the testing strategy for scalable, secure web applications. This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment with broad exposure to services and data flows.

Responsabilidades

- Design, write and implement integration, component and UI tests
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners and other stakeholders to design test opportunities
- Identify and report high-quality defects with thorough analysis
- Pair with developers to design testable systems and write test scripts
- Conduct tests, triage results, and monitor quality metrics
- Mentor juniors and contribute to automation direction and best practices
- Perform advanced debugging and refactor automation to reduce technical debt
- On-board and coach less experienced team members




- Ensure repeatable tests and reliable test infrastructure
- Communicate test results and quality trends to the team
- Build relationships with peers for test planning and feedback
- Provide technical guidance on decisions impacting multiple teams
- Learn industry practices and educate the team on QA/automation standards
- Contribute to test planning and test strategy at project level
- Lead small-to-moderate projects and possibly supervise others

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in Java development
- Experience with OS X and Linux, Spring, AWS, Microservices, SQL, NoSQL, GIT
- Experience in scrum and DevOps environments
- Strong understanding of agile development lifecycle
- Preferred: JSON/REST service design, 3rd-party APIs, Docker, large-scale web apps, TDD and functional testing
- Familiarity with full web stack and web app development
- Understanding of secure coding practices and common design patterns
- Ability to solve business problems with creative solutions
- Strong documentation writing skills
