Overview

In this role you will lead engineering projects within the Engineering Function, coordinating the design team to ensure technical compliance. You will oversee mechanical, hardware, and software development per project specs, and define the design plan and system architecture. You will release modules to production, verify them via simulation and virtual commissioning, and manage system integration and final validation. You will support manufacturing, update BOMs, and drive Design to Cost while promoting knowledge sharing. You will ensure a smooth R&D; handover and lead a team with clear objectives, contributing to Volpak’s packaging machinery impact.

Responsabilidades

- Lead projects within Engineering to meet technical requirements and coordinate the design team
- Oversee Mechanical, Hardware, and Software development per specifications
- Define and manage design plan, system architecture, and module breakdown
- Release modules into production and verify via simulation and virtual commissioning
- Manage system integration,



verification, and final design validation
- Support manufacturing and assembly, update BOM as needed
- Review and approve final engineering documentation
- Drive Design to Cost and promote knowledge sharing
- Ensure smooth handover from R&D; to the organization
- Lead and support the team with clear objectives and development plans

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- Master’s in Engineering or Management
- At least 7 years of experience in mechanical design
- Knowledge of modern 3D CAD systems integrated with PLM
- Good knowledge of pneumatics
- Familiar with basic ERP functions
- Electrical and Software engineering knowledge
- Background in the packaging machine sector preferred
