Overview

As Technical Lead for our PostgreSQL Flex Service, you guide architecture and hands-on delivery across multiple product teams. You design and evolve robust, cloud-native Postgres solutions with a focus on availability, performance, and automation. You mentor engineers, drive a self-service DBaaS model, and ensure reliable operation through SRE practices. You bridge engineering and business stakeholders to align roadmaps with strategic goals. This role offers creative influence, cross-functional collaboration, and scope to shape our managed database platform.

Responsabilidades

- Own the 'How' for the PostgreSQL Flex Service across product teams; lead by example and contribute to codebase when needed
- Shape the future of Managed Database Services; design robust, scalable Postgres solutions in the cloud
- Drive automation and DBaaS innovation; automate deployment, patching, and scaling via REST APIs
- Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and contribute to recruiting and developing the team
- Implement SRE practices to ensure reliability, performance,



and data integrity across the service lifecycle
- Bridge engineering and business stakeholders; contribute to Architecture Board and strategic discussions

Requisitos principales

- Leadership mindset with proven experience in guiding engineering teams and establishing architectural vision
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB or MS SQL Server focusing on HA, replication, performance, and design
- Software engineering and architecture experience in distributed systems and cloud-native deployment
- Cloud-native proficiency with Kubernetes, Operator patterns, and building infra-controlling APIs
- Automation and observability expertise; knowledge of modern monitoring platforms
- Analytical and strategic problem-solving skills to align technical roadmaps with business goals
- English fluency for international, agile collaboration
