In this role you will design and scale Rust-based services that power trading, payments, and crypto experiences within Payward Services. You will work on high-availability, low-latency systems and collaborate with a large Rust engineering team to deliver robust infrastructure that moves money and assets safely at scale. You’ll own end-to-end solutions, mentor peers, and help shape our security-focused, product-driven engineering culture. This is an opportunity to impact open financial infrastructure at scale and work across distributed systems.
Responsabilidades
- Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries for trading, payments, and crypto experiences
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code that scales across teams and supports revenue-critical systems
- Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture for low-latency solutions
- Work with hundreds of Rust engineers to sustain a high-performance, product-driven culture
- Provide end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to defining the technical culture
Requisitos principales
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust
- Security-first mindset in system design
- Ability to autonomously debug issues across the stack (OS, network, application)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies (RPC protocols, Kafka, Event-Driven Systems)
- Collaborate with product teams to gather requirements
- End-to-end ownership of systems and libraries
- Mentorship and contribution to technical culture
