In this role you will develop and maintain SIMS reporting capabilities while preparing the shift toward a modern data and analytics platform. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable reporting solutions and contribute to data quality and governance. You’ll work on migrating legacy Cognos reports to Tableau and explore cloud-based reporting on Snowflake and modern BI tools.
This is an opportunity to shape essential management reporting and enable self-service analytics for the organisation.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
- Deliver new SIMS reporting requirements, including Private Pension Reform related changes
- Capture and translate reporting needs from stakeholders into scalable solutions
- Maintain and optimise SIMS reporting landscape, datasets, SQL queries, data models, and performance
- Support rationalisation and migration of legacy reports to Tableau and other modern tools
- Redesign and simplify reports where appropriate instead of recreating legacy outputs
- Build and enhance data pipelines and analytical data structures for KPIs and reporting
- Support reporting governance including data quality, lineage, controls, and consistency
- Ensure reporting solutions align with application and data architectures and standards
- Contribute to evolving the reporting architecture as the platform modernises
Responsabilidades
- Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Engineering, Finance Technology or a related discipline
- Strong experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle) including SQL development and large data handling
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, reporting data models, and analytical data structures
- Experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for reporting and analytics
- Strong Tableau development experience (dashboards, datasets, user-facing reports)
- Desirable knowledge of Cognos or other BI/reporting platforms
- Experience supporting reporting migration, xugodme rationalisation or modernisation initiatives is advantageous
- Experience enabling self-service reporting with governance and access controls
- Understanding of data quality, lineage, provenance, and reporting controls
- Exposure to modern data platforms or cloud warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication for diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in written and spoken English; ability to leverage AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity
